Hello Wellspring Family & Friends,

Did you hear the one about the three kids at the Church Family Picnic who were bragging about their parents? One said, “My dad scribbles a few words, calls it a song and they pay him fifty bucks. The second child replied, “Oh yeah? My mom scribbles a few words, calls it a poem and they pay her a hundred bucks.” “That’s nothing,” said the third kid. My dad scribbles a few words, calls it a sermon and it takes four people to collect all the money in the room!”

Family and friends, mark your calendars and let’s all show up! EVERYONE is invited to a day of enjoyment and refreshment at Haleiwa Beach Park on Saturday, August 18th from 9:00 a.m.- 2 p.m. for our Wellspring Family Fun Picnic Day! The drive is worth it! Can you think of a better way to spend a gorgeous summer day in Hawaii, enjoying the beauty of God’s ocean and each other? What better way to enjoy and connect more, building new friendships and growing into deeper ones. We invite you to commit to this day of complete Sabbathing. Food. Fun. Fishing. Games. Napping.

God willing and leading, we may even have a baptism for those who want to be baptized or who feel led to re-dedicate and re-commit their lives to our awesome King and Creator. This may also be a time where you feel God is leading you to make a deeper commitment of membership in our Wellspring Covenant Church family. We invite you to a Membership Class on Saturday morning, August 4th from 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Relationships are built and grow roots as we spend time together, connecting and sharing more than Sunday mornings. This is the inspiration for our picnic and making a way for belonging and growing closer in our personal relationships with Jesus. It is why this picnic time, and all we offer week to week, and season to season, are a vital and vibrant part of growing deeper in our faith and friendships with one another.

“You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you; and all the trees of the field will clap their hands” Isaiah 55:12 (NIV)

Please join us. We can’t wait to be with you and share life with you!

Shout to the Lord and sing for joy,

Pastor Cheryl
