Dear family and friends,

Two weeks ago in the Sunday bulletin letter, I shared about my upcoming 5 month Sabbatical beginning July 15. This past Sunday, I shared in the message more about this, along with our 6 month financial status. Pastor Cheryl gave an update about how our teams are addressing our impending lease renewal and status of our Building. Pastor Rebecca shared how T.J. Breshears and Jensen Kalua, will begin in July as resource leaders to encourage and equip our children and youth ministries for the next 5 months. You can go to our website and find the letter and message there. We have CDs available behind the sound team as well.

In case you didn’t notice, Ha, I am not here today. I am in California for the final details to hand over my Mom’s house to new owners. I will then fly to Omaha, Nebraska, for our denominations Annual meeting. It is at this gathering that the main decisions for our larger church family are made. It is also at this gathering that ordinations are enacted and new churches received. As the larger church family we are in the middle of working through how to be faithfully present to all people in the continuously more and more complex world we live in. I am grateful we are part of a church body that prays, listens, studies, speaks respectfully and humbly together. I will share more on my return.

I will be present in worship with you on Sundays: June 30, July 7 and then July 14. From there, as Bev recovers from her radiation treatment that ends in late June, I hope to travel with her, rest and live into a pace of listening, reflecting and discerning fresh ways to live into God’s call on my life for the new season ahead.

As always, I welcome your thoughts, questions and ongoing conversations in person, email, text and phone calls. You are a precious family who regularly reminds me how God is always at work for His kingdom and our part with Him in this together.

I am deeply grateful for you,

Pastor Dale
